I do not feel very sharp and focused, right now. My brain is like a wrung-out sponge — except, wait, no. It doesn’t feel ready to soak up anything new. So, not a sponge then, nor a rag, nor anything else that is absorbent.
Hmm… perhaps it’s like a bag of sand? All compressed and dull. But, on the other hand, sandbags are useful for stopping water getting in under the doorway, and though it can’t retain anything, my brain isn’t exactly holding back the outside world. Stimulus gets in, and then whooshes out again.
Maybe my brain is like the wide-open prairie? But my head feels heavy, not empty, nor particularly wind-swept. Not a prairie, then. Mountains? Oceans? Low foothills? I think geological formations are right out.
Mostly, my brain is like… tired.
That’s it, my brain is tired.
Wait, no! It’s like a Jello-mold of a brain that you’d see at a Halloween party. Yep, that’s it, that’s what we’re going with.
